It’s been over 9 years since Capcom released Street Fighter X Tekken, a collaboration between Capcom and Bandai Namco. This game pitted Tekken characters up against those from the Street Fighter universe in a 2D plane.

However, during the development plan a problem arose. Whether it’s about the Gem system, about CAPCOM’s DLC plans, during which the project has problems. Harada spent some time in between working on Tekken 7 until the project was finally cancelled. Harada said that the project for it was cancel while it was 30% develop.

Another reason the project was cancel was that Street Fighter’s female characters Chun-Li had already modeled the characters. And the director of both games liked it, but CAPCOM didn’t allow it. Instead, Harada brought in Street Fighter Akuma as a guest character in Tekken 7.
