Fulham The 45-year-old streak that collapsed as Chelsea fell apart against Fulham on Boxing Day

Fulham will be hoping to end a 45-year winless run against Chelsea when the two sides meet in the Premier League on Thursday.

Marco Silva‘s side are on a five-game unbeaten run since a 4-1 defeat at Wolves on November 23.

However, they only won one game during that time, holding off top teams like Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Southampton.

In the game where they will visit the “Singha Blues” in the “Boxing Day” match, they have a bad record, not winning against their city rivals for 45 years, drawing 8 and losing 14 of the 22 games they have met.

Fulham have also failed to score in their last six visits to Stamford Bridge. Since Clint Dempsey netted in a 1-1 draw on Boxing Day in 2011.

Meanwhile, Fulham have been one of the few surprise packages this season. With the Cottagers chasing an unlikely spot in Europe.

Marco Silva’s side are unbeaten in their last five games, although they claimed just one victory during that run (D4).

Three of their draws have come against teams in the traditional ‘big six’, claiming impressive scalps against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, and Liverpool before the frustrating goalless draw against Southampton.

Stamford Bridge hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Cottagers, but their record against the top clubs will give them the confidence to go for the jugular against Chelsea.
